Planet Tython
General Information
Traditionally a meeting place for warriors, philosophers, and priests, Tython served as planet for the discussion and exploration of the force. Tython is located in the Deep Core Region. It is most known as the planet where the Jedi Order originated prior to 25,990 BBY, and is the homeworld of the Jedi.
History
Studies of the force were once conducted by ancient scholars on the planet Tython. As an understanding and overall skill began to develop among those who studied, conflict began to rise. These struggles eventually nearly destroyed the planet. Only a few survived. Those who were able to escape formed the Jedi Order and left behind their dark past, as well as Tython. Tython remained undiscovered until the Great War. Once the planet was again found, the Jedi began exploring the ancient history and the force existing on the planet. After the attack on Coruscant the Jedi returned to their homeworld Tython and rebuilt the Jedi Temple. Now Tython serves as a place of training for a new generation of Jedi.
