The Sith Empire
General Information
The Sith Empire is a hierarchical society, divided into a caste system led by the Dark Lord of the Sith. The Dark Lord is advised by a Council consisting of twelve Sith Lords. While the Sith Empire is smaller than the Gallactic Republic, the wealth and technology of the civilization makes it a worthy adversary.
History
The Origin of the Sith Empire
Exiled Dark Jedi fled the Battle of Corbos, and the reach of the Republic, as the Hundred Years of Darkness concluded in 6,900 BBY. The exiles landed on the planet of Korriban and soon discovered its inhabitants to be unusually Force-sensitive. The native Sith were in awe of the Dark Jedi, and were immediately willing to follow their rule upon the planet. The exiles easily corrupted the civilization as they interbred with the Sith and produced Dark force using offspring. The Dark Jedi exiles were eventually forgotten about by the Republic, allowing the Sith to thrive. The new generation of Sith quickly expanded in number, and power, as the Sith Empire was born.
The First Fall of The Sith Empire
In 5,000 BBY two adventurous hyperspace explorers came across the planet Korriban. This blunder brought the existence of the the Republic to the attention of the Empire's current leader Naga Sadow. Driven by blinding ambition Naga Sadow led an attack in an attempt to conquer the Republic triggering the Great Hyperspace War. The Jedi rallied to the aid of the Republic and counter attacked the Sith. The results of these actions upon the Sith civilization were devastating. It was believed by the Republic that the Sith had been completely destroyed. Naga Sadow, however, was able to escape without detection by sacrificing most of his fleet.
The Restoration of The True Sith Empire
Having escaped the Republic, the Emperor retreated into deep space. There he preserved his life as he rebuilt the Sith Empire. Throughout this time a fallen Jedi named Exar Kun and the brotherhood of the Sith allied them selves with the Mandalorians they waged war with the Republic and eventually after the death of Exar Kun and his apprentice Ulic Qel-Droma's redemption the empire collapsed leading some time after to the Mandalorian War. In this war two Jedi defied the Council and set out with other jedi to aid the republic, Revan and Malak, Revan who was strong in the force, brilliant taction won the war for the republic when he defeated there leader 'Mandalore' in single combat, when they chased the Mandalorans and hunted down there remements Revan and Malak got corrupted by the True Sith and the Star Forge, a year after Revan and Malak returned to the Known galaxy at the head of a massive invasion fleet Revan as Dark Lord of the Sith and the lest talented Malak as his sith apprentice, Malak Eventually grew tired and Jelous of his old friend and cowardly attacked Revan from afar (Rather than facing him in single combat). The Jedi who boarded his Flagship thought if they were to remove Revan the empire would collapse. Malak then crowned himself as the new Dark Lord of the Sith and continued his former master's war of conquest, but he did not share Revan's vision. Afterwards, he made his own apprentice, Darth Bandon. Whereas Revan had kept key Republic infrastructure intact for the purposes of post-war rebuilding, Malak and Bandon were believers in more brutal methods. Likely ignorant of Revan's original intentions, they preferred an all-out war of destruction and carnage. Unlike Darth Revan Malak wasn't charismatic wasn't an enigmatic leader or a renowned tactician and expert strategist. Revan under the tutorship of Bastila Shan he grew to his greatest power possibly more powerful than he was as the Sith Lord, Proving his Great Power of the force he re-learnt every thing in weeks.He defeated Malak and was given the option of Taking Bastila as his Sith apprentice and ruling over the empire and taking it to victory, or freeing the galaxy from its tyriny and helping the Republic defeat his former empire, he chose freedom and the Light and lead the republic to victory shortly after the Republic began to hear rumors of a possible threat growing in deep space. Revan set out on a mission into unknown regions to pursue the "true Sith", but as far is currently known never returned. Years later another Jedi known as the 'Jedi Exile' who like Revan was charismatic and an enigmatic leader, she didn't follow Revan's sith crusade and stayed but was striped of the force, when like Revan she re-learnt the force quickly and defeated the last remnants of the Sith Empire. She then left republic space in search of Revan and what ever he was looking for likewise as far is currantly known she never returned.
After much careful planning and calculating the Sith emerged from deep space in a surprise attack on the Republic. The Jedi and all other defenses were caught off guard and unprepared. The Republic capital planet of Coruscant was easily overpowered. The Supreme Chancellor of the Republic was forced to sign the Treaty of Coruscant, which surrendered many outlying star systems. As the Sith emerged victorious from the attack, it continued to gain power as the Emperor began to comprise a plan to conquer the galaxy.
