Planet Korriban
General Information:
The planet Korriban exists in the Horuset System. It is considered a sacred planet to the Sith Order and is known as the homeworld of the Sith. Korriban contains the tombs of the previous Dark Lords, giving the planet a tremendous legacy, and providing power for the existing Dark Sith Lords.
History:
The arrival of Dark Jedi exiles on the planet Korriban corrupted the original Sith civilization. As the Sith were changed they grew in power and soon became a threat to the Galactic Republic. Along with strength, the Sith grew in ambition. The Great Hyperspace War soon followed, leaving the Republic the victors. The surviving Sith fled from the reach of the Republic. Nothing more was known of the Sith until two power-hungry turncoat Jedi attempted to restore the Sith Empire. The two jedi, Malak and Revan attempted to reconstruct the Sith Empire, while the true Sith Empire waited in hiding as it gathered strength. After much careful calculation the true Sith Empire was able to launch a massive attack and regain much more than it had lost. The planet Korriban is once again under the rule of the real Sith Empire. The planet now hosts an academy used for the training of the next generation of Sith.
