Is Star Wars: The Old Republic an MMO?
Thousands of players are able to play Star Wars: The Old Republic together in a single session. The ability for this many players to explore, engage in combat, and adventure classifies the game as an MMO(Massively Multiplayer Online Game).
Is it possible to play alone?
Star Wars: The Old Republic may be played alone, although some tasks must be accomplished through cooperative interaction with others.
Who is BioWare?
In 2008 Electronic Arts came into possession of BioWare. With studios throughout the United States and Canada, BioWare has been involved in the development of console, computer, handheld and online video games since 1995. Who is LucasArts?
LucasArts is a worldwide interactive entertainment software development and publishing company. As a Lucasfilm Ltd. company LucasArt came into existence in 1982 under the direction of George Lucas to add the element of interaction to the vision of his company. LucasArts is currently based in San Francisco, California.
How is Star Wars: The Old Republic different from other MMO titles?
The development of “story” within the game is what makes Star Wars: The Old Republic stand out from other MMO’s. Most MMO’s emphasize exploration, combat, and progression, yet lack a plot line.
What Species and Classes are available?
BioWare and LucasArts have yet to announce this.

Which side of the force am I able to play?
A player is able choose whether they would like to ally with the Republic or the Sith Empire. Decisions made throughout the game will also influence your path toward the Light or Dark side of the force.
How is Star Wars: The Old Republic related to the films?
The setting of the game is 3,500 years before the time of Darth Vader. Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place at a time when the Sith Empire has come out of hiding and attacked the Republic. Though a truce is established, a war is imminent.
How are Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic related?
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) took place 300 years before Star Wars: The Old Repulic. At the conclusion of KOTOR Revan left in search of what may be a great threat of the republic. While Revan is never to be seen again, the Sith Empire emerges from deep space and begins a war with the Republic. Now although a truce has been made, an uneasy tension is growing.
Are characters from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in this game?
While this question has not yet been directly answered, BioWare and LucasArts have eluded to the fact that some droids from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic may be in the game. It has also been mentioned that although none of the characters from the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic could have lived 300 years to the setting of the next game, their legacy is carried on by descendants.
When is the release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic?
No official release date has been announced by BioWare and LucasArts. We are hearing around late 2009.
Can I get into the Beta Testing?
Beta testing has not yet been scheduled. BioWare and Lucasfilms will be releasing more information in the future. It is expectced to be around Christmas 2008.

BioWare and Lucas art plan to release Star Wars: The Old Republic simultaneously in various languages and countries. No other information is currently available.
