Alderaan

Alderaan is a planet of natural beauty. The surface is covered in grasslands, old mountains, thousands of lakes and waterways, and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Many rare categories of grass, flowers, and species reside on the planet and cannot be found elsewhere in the galaxy. The Alderaanians strive to preserve this picturesque environment by working with or around the land.

The Alderaan culture enjoys the performing arts and values education. The citizens place emphasis in finding peaceful resolutions to conflict. They also tend to be philosophers and seek to harmonize with the environment.

History

Approximately 1,000,000 BBY the Killiks, native to the planet Alderaan, evolved. This civilization constructed what is known as the Castle Lands of Oroboro. In 30,000 BBY the Killiks had consumed all of the planets resources and were taken away by the Celestials. The planet then remained virtually unclaimed for a little over 3,000 years.

In 27,500 BBY the first human colonists came to Alderaan. A new harmonious civilization was built which emphasized the relationship between humans and the environment. Alderaan swiftly became an anchor point in hyperspace exploration, and was the Core Founder of the Galactic Republic in 25,000 BBY.
